About Me
Hey there, I’m Laura, and let me tell you, becoming an author and healing educator was never in my game plan.
I was knee-deep in my career as a charge nurse in neonatal intensive care, fully expecting it to be my lifelong calling. Then, December 2021 came crashing in like a wrecking ball, completely redirecting my trajectory in a way I never imagined.
Before that pivotal moment, I was oblivious to the silent struggles brewing beneath the surface. My body was waving red flags with unexplained health issues, but I was too wrapped up in my daily grind to pay attention.
But then, BOOM. Emergency surgery after a traumatic brain injury flipped my world upside down. Suddenly, I couldn’t ignore the trauma buried deep within me any longer. It was like a wake-up call, urging me to confront the pain head-on.
And so, my journey to healing began—a deep dive into the depths of my own soul. What I discovered along the way far surpassed all expectations.
It took a traumatic brain injury and the stark halt it forced upon me to realize just how much trauma had been calling the shots in my life. Now, I’m devoted to sharing my story and all of the insights I’ve gained with the world.
